About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Jacksonville, Florida. The unarmed officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, integrity, reliability, and teamwork. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and driver access according to site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations.
Observe shipping and receiving operations for unusual activity, report concerns promptly, and support orderly traffic flow.
