About The Position

As a Security Officer Screener in Anchorage, Alaska, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will screen personnel, visitors, and materials according to site procedures, maintain a visible security presence, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This is a part-time position scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, paying $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and personal belongings entering designated areas in accordance with site requirements and applicable procedures.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to support controlled movement of people and property throughout the logistics and distribution location.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, and report observed irregularities.
