Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Site Awareness
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report activity, and provide customer service and communication. The role involves serving tenants, visitors, and property staff while following site-specific procedures and established post orders. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and applicable emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations.
- Identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
- Report unauthorized entry, property damage, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs.
- Communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
