About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in San Francisco, California, you will serve as a welcoming first point of contact at a leading AI company's workplace while helping protect its employees, visitors, and facilities. The role combines front-of-house service, access control, visitor management, patrols, threat awareness, and emergency response in a high-profile technology environment. Professionalism, discretion, situational awareness, integrity, and teamwork are important.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The pay rate is $40.95 per hour. Paid onboarding covers facility orientation, access control and visitor management, emergency response, and threat awareness. Uniform costs are covered, and the position offers access to additional shifts and career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of corporate or commercial security experience.
• Valid California security guard registration (BSIS guard card).
• Experience with access control systems, visitor management procedures, and incident reporting.
• Working knowledge of threat awareness, including recognizing social engineering and insider threat indicators.
• Clear, accurate written and verbal English communication sufficient to work with client staff and global security teams.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR/First Aid certification (may be required by the site).
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using digital security tools, a computer, or a tablet.
• Access control and badge system experience.
• Willingness to serve as a first aider and/or fire warden; training is provided.
• Professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a polished, welcoming front-of-house experience for employees, visitors, and vendors, including reception and concierge duties.
• Manage access control and visitor procedures in accordance with site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, and perimeter spaces; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Remain alert to social engineering attempts, insider threat indicators, and perimeter vulnerabilities, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, including first aid and fire warden duties where applicable.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and activity reports and communicate with on-site leadership, Allied Universal management, and the client's global security operations.
• Handle client systems and information carefully, follow data protection requirements, refrain from extracting data from client systems, and follow breach reporting procedures.
