Security Officer Hospital Campus Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for hospital campus patrol in Elmhurst, New York. The role serves and safeguards clients in a healthcare setting by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, helping maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and remaining visible to deter security-related incidents. The officer provides customer service, communicates professionally, and supports access control operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Pay is $17.87–$18.87 per hour. Hospital vaccines are required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report unusual conditions or potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and relevant observations according to site procedures.
