About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. The role provides experience at varied sites and opportunities for career growth. The position is based in Stockton, California, and involves working 30–40 hours per week. Schedules, shifts, locations, and assignments vary regularly; shifts may be assigned by a manager or claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. The officer must be prepared for irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

The Security Officer Flex Patrol Relief performs security patrols, monitors conditions and access points, responds to emergencies, and documents incidents while assisting customers, employees, and visitors professionally.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
