About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to serve an aerospace and defense location in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The role involves providing customer service while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to alarms and incidents, and following site-specific security procedures. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. The position is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at $23.86 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
Hold a valid driver’s license that complies with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Alarm panel experience.
Access control and badge management experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, and document and report observations according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entry and exit points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify visitor and vendor authorization.
Maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift activity records.
Report suspicious activity, unattended property, and potential policy violations to appropriate site contacts to help protect confidential billing, financial, and business information.
