About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for access control at an assigned site in Covington, Georgia. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The schedule listed is Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to scale back. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. The position monitors access points, verifies credentials, controls entry and exit, maintains records, responds to incidents, and patrols assigned areas. Employment is subject to applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local law; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, and access credentials according to healthcare facility procedures.
• Control the entry and exit of personnel, contractors, deliveries, and visitors, and maintain accurate access-related logs and reports.
• Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify unauthorized access, unsecured doors, and other security concerns.
