About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Riverside, California, to provide security and customer service at a logistics and distribution location. The role has a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen are conditions of employment. Licensing may be required under state or local law. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state and/or local licensing requirements, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and delivery credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating information to appropriate site contacts or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Communicate professionally with personnel entering and leaving the location while supporting orderly traffic flow and compliance with site access requirements.
