About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Screening in Winfield, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support access control operations while delivering customer service and clear communication. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming environment. The role includes following site-specific procedures and policies, monitoring access, controlling entry to restricted operational areas, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

A TSA-issued TWIC is required. The position is full time and pays $17.39 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM.

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control access to restricted operational areas and coordinate with site contacts regarding approved visitors, deliveries, contractors, and employees.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry.
