About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge and X Ray Screening in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients in a logistics and distribution setting. You will screen people and property, monitor access points, respond to security-related concerns, and remain visible while communicating professionally with employees and visitors and providing customer service. The role is full-time, pays $17.22 per hour, and is scheduled Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (or 21 or older for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements if applicable before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, freight, vehicles, and individuals in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
• Monitor screening equipment and report suspicious items, prohibited materials, access concerns, and other security-related issues to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shipping, receiving, sorting, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
