About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an entry-control role at a manufacturing and industrial location in Greenville, Ohio. The officer will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. A visible presence and clear communication help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records according to site policies.
Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and entrances, direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, perimeter points, and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
