About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for overnight patrol at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sparrows Point, Maryland. The unarmed officer will provide customer service and help safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. The role involves regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, monitoring access points, responding to alarms and incidents, and documenting activity. The schedule is Sunday and Monday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. Pay is $19.76 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and report unusual activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following escalation and notification procedures.
Complete reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
