About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for overnight patrol at a government location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The officer will safeguard clients and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, and providing customer service. The role includes responding professionally to incidents and alarms, following site-specific policies and emergency procedures, and documenting security-related activities. The posted pay rate is $16.43 per hour, with scheduled shifts Friday and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations professionally, following post instructions and notification protocols.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access concerns.
Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
