About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer at a government healthcare location in Richmond, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication to residents, visitors, and staff. The role follows site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $13.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
A guard card or license.
Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and government facility personnel while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, common areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to facility procedures, assist with directions, and report unusual or unauthorized access.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
