About The Position

ACT Security Group is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Guard for assignments at two sites in Austin: one near 71, Ben White Boulevard, and Lamar Boulevard, and another near Rundberg Lane and Lamar Boulevard. The listed schedule is Saturday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at $18.50 per hour and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at $20.50 per hour. The role involves patrolling assigned buildings, parking lots, and property; monitoring entrances and exits; observing and reporting suspicious activity; enforcing site rules and access-control procedures; and responding to disturbances or emergencies in accordance with training and company policy. Guards prepare daily activity logs and incident reports, assist visitors, employees, and customers, and communicate security concerns to supervisors or emergency responders when necessary. Requirements

Meet applicable Texas eligibility and licensing requirements for the position.
Meet Level II training and registration requirements for noncommissioned security officers.
Have strong communication and customer-service skills.
Be able to follow instructions and complete written reports.
Have reliable attendance and professional conduct.
Successfully complete the employer's applicable background screening.
Be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Be able to work indoors or outdoors, depending on the assignment.
Be able to remain alert throughout the assigned shift.

Previous security experience is preferred but is not required for all assignments.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned buildings, parking lots, and property.
Monitor entrances and exits and verify visitor authorization.
Observe and report suspicious activity.
Enforce site rules and access-control procedures.
Respond to disturbances and emergencies according to training and company policy.
Prepare accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Assist visitors, employees, and customers professionally.
Communicate security concerns to supervisors and emergency responders when necessary.
Complete hourly foot patrols.
Provide customer service and problem-solving support.
