Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Emergency Support
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer to support a healthcare location in Falls Church, Virginia. The officer helps safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and communicating observations clearly. The role requires professionalism, teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while assisting with site procedures and emergency response activities. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

- CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established healthcare location procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor entrances, exits, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site policies to help maintain an orderly environment.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
