About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Ashburn, Virginia. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role includes responding to emergencies and supporting a welcoming environment through professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Access control or badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including access points, perimeter areas, equipment spaces, and parking locations; report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
Monitor site access by checking credentials, directing authorized visitors, maintaining visitor records, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports and document security incidents, observations, and policy violations in accordance with company and site requirements.
