About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Birmingham, Alabama, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, support access control, respond to incidents, and provide customer service. You will also use a computer or tablet to document activities and assist people at the facility. The listed schedule is Thursday and Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $13.57 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
Monitor access points and facility activity, and report unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to location procedures.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
