About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to work as a Reception Ambassador at a chemical and petrochemical location in Wilmington, Delaware. The role provides customer service while supporting site security through front-desk visitor management, access monitoring, communications, and observation of security systems. The position pays $18.39 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
Monitor front-desk access, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
Receive incoming calls, provide directions and information, and communicate security concerns to appropriate site personnel or emergency responders.
Monitor alarms, cameras, access-control systems, and other front-desk equipment, and report unusual activity or system issues.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, including initiating site-specific emergency response procedures when appropriate.
