About The Position

As a Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location in Lakeland, Florida, you will provide a welcoming, professional front desk presence while monitoring access, greeting visitors, and supporting security procedures. You will communicate with employees and guests, help maintain an orderly environment, and provide customer service while following site-specific policies and procedures. The position is full-time and pays $21.01 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the front desk, following site-specific policies and procedures.
Monitor facility access by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor records.
Receive and direct phone calls, visitors, and deliveries professionally while helping maintain a controlled entry point.
Observe front desk activity and report unusual, unauthorized, or security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency response procedures.
