About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Reception in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a financial institution, you will be a welcoming, professional presence for employees, members, and visitors. You will manage access control and badge processes, monitor activity at the entrance, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures and supporting a professional, welcoming front desk presence.
• Monitor access to the financial institution location, verify visitor credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs and/or sign-in records.
• Answer phone calls, provide directions, and communicate routine information to appropriate personnel while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive member and business information.
• Observe lobby and entry activity, report suspicious or unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
