Security Officer Part Time Site Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol a public library location in Akron, Ohio. The officer will maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor and patrol the site, observe and report activities, respond to concerns, and provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff. The role involves working as part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and innovative service. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $18.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, and Sunday, 11:30 AM–5:30 PM. Additional shifts may be viewed and claimed through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
- Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
- Observe and report activities, respond to concerns, and provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff.
