About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol at a logistics and distribution location in Des Moines, Iowa, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and facility operations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible security presence, provide customer service, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s stated values. The position is full-time and pays $16.08 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, delivery-related disruptions, and critical situations, following site-specific escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter.
Monitor facility access, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
