About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a training and commercial property location in Lake Placid, New York. The officer will safeguard athletes, staff, visitors, and contractors by conducting unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring campus access, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes responding professionally to incidents and emergencies, providing customer service, and communicating and documenting relevant information. The posted pay rate is $26.16 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Friday and Saturday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to athletes, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events, following established notification and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access to the training campus and verify visitor and contractor credentials.
Assist with directing guests according to site requirements.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
Communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
