About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a healthcare location in Westfield, New York. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to concerns and emergencies, assisting with access control, and documenting activity. The role emphasizes customer service, communication, computer skills, professionalism, and following site-specific procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations while following established protocols.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access, and reporting unauthorized individuals or restricted-area concerns.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
