About The Position

Seeking an experienced security officer for a part-time night shift every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The position is one 12-hour shift per week and is at a location near Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Arizona. The officer works alone at night and patrols a large warehouse facility with multiple warehouses, primarily using a cart, with some foot patrols and time spent walking or sitting. Approximately 85% of patrol time is on a cart. The officer observes and reports activity, deters vandals, homeless individuals, and other unauthorized persons, checks buildings, doors, and gates, and records patrols and incidents in the Silvertrac app. The role requires strong communication, detailed and factual report writing, and the ability to de-escalate issues and contact police, fire, or ambulance services when needed. The officer must have a current Arizona unarmed guard card, a driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Requirements

Current Arizona unarmed guard card.
At least 2–3 years of security experience, or military experience in lieu of security experience; an Arizona guard card is still required.
Clean driving record.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong communication skills, including phone and text communication.
Ability to write detailed, factual reports.
Ability to work alone at night.
Experience using Silvertrac; use of the app is required.

Responsibilities

Patrol a large warehouse facility with multiple warehouses, primarily by cart, and conduct some foot patrols.
Check doors, buildings, and gates, including entering and exiting buildings after storms as needed.
Complete at least two hourly checks, 30 minutes apart, and log all activity in Silvertrac.
Observe and report activity and deter vandals, homeless individuals, and other unauthorized persons.
Check for and report issues such as lights out, damage, open doors or gates, leaks, fires, and broken windows.
Write detailed, factual reports and submit patrol and incident reports through the Silvertrac app.
Communicate by phone and text and de-escalate issues when needed.
Call police, fire, or ambulance services as needed.
Work alone at night and clean up after yourself.
