Security Officer Unarmed Corporate Site Patrol
About The Position
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in San Diego, California, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, provide customer service, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns. The position is full-time and pays $21.75 per hour. The schedule includes Monday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Thursday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, Friday 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, and Sunday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. Applicants must have at least six months of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen are conditions of employment. Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws and may apply before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter; report unusual conditions and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures to help deter unauthorized entry and support an orderly environment.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports about patrols, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related observations.
