Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and security-related policies for a commercial office location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify visitor access, issue passes or credentials as directed, and maintain front desk logs and/or records in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with building management and/or emergency contacts when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, support check-in processes, and report maintenance, life emergency, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk, observing incoming and outgoing traffic, and following escalation procedures when needed.
