About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution in Groton, Connecticut, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role is part-time and pays $19.92 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity or security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
