About The Position

As a Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial warehouse setting in Lakeland, Florida, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional, orderly environment. The role is part-time and pays $15.50 per hour. The scheduled hours are Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor sign-in records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Control entry and exit of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel according to established procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
