Security Officer - Warehouse Setting - Full Time
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer for a warehouse setting in Reno, Nevada, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provides professional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests. The role supports a welcoming environment and follows site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities. The schedule is listed as 11:00 PM–7:00 AM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements and may be subject to background and drug screening. State or local licensing may be required before employment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter; identify unusual activity and report observations according to site procedures.
- Monitor access, verify visitor and vendor entry requirements, and maintain accurate logs and records in accordance with site policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
- Maintain a professional presence that supports a welcoming environment and helps deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations.
