About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver for a busy retail location in Houston, Texas. The officer conducts unarmed patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents and unauthorized activity, responds to security-related concerns, and provides customer service and communication to shoppers, employees, and team members. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply depending on state or local laws. Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Must be subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and location-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter.
Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations to store leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
Assist with access control and visitor direction, and maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and support an orderly retail environment.
