About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Threat Screening in West Palm Beach, Florida, to serve clients in government and other industries. The officer supports a professional environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and identifying potential security concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and a visible, dependable security presence. The position is scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and pays $19.85 per hour.

Requirements

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license.
• X-ray screening experience.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while conducting screening procedures and following site-specific policies and applicable emergency response activities.
• Operate screening equipment and screen people at entry points in accordance with established procedures; identify prohibited items and refer concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorized access for individuals entering controlled areas.
• Maintain accurate visitor and screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
