As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Access Control in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with site personnel. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities or access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
