About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Management in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor processing, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional, visible presence. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative Allied Universal team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, employee parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
