As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver welcoming customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This role offers the opportunity to communicate clearly, support a positive environment, and contribute through teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail customers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and security-related hazards in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records while maintaining a professional presence.
