About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Checkpoint in City Of Industry, California, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries including logistics and distribution. At a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and remain visible to help deter incidents. The role is full-time and pays $18.80 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen individuals, packages, and/or property entering or leaving the distribution location according to established procedures.
Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using problem-solving skills, and report observations to site leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter, as directed.
