About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Checkpoint in Waimanalo, Hawaii, you will serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage location. You will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment by screening individuals and monitoring access points. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a part-time position paying $18.12 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site access requirements and established procedures.
Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry, and maintain accurate visitor and access records as required.
Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and perimeter.
