About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Inspection in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as technology, media, and telecommunications. As a Screener at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet tools as needed, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate professionally while supporting a culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $20.14 per hour. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries according to established entry procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate access points.
• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious items, or policy concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter, documenting observations and incidents as required.
