About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Checkpoint Monitor in Greenwood, Indiana, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will help manage access by verifying badges and screening individuals and belongings in accordance with site procedures. The role requires maintaining a professional, welcoming presence, communicating clearly with employees and visitors, and reporting security-related concerns.

This is a full-time position scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, belongings, packages, and authorized materials according to site procedures; document and report irregularities through designated channels.
• Verify access credentials and visitor authorization before permitting entry to controlled areas, and escalate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following established emergency procedures and requesting support when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
