About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to monitor and screen at a logistics and distribution location in Ladson, South Carolina. The role supports a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening individuals and items, reporting security-related concerns, providing customer service, and assisting with badge and access control processes. The position is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $16.33 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering designated logistics and distribution areas according to established procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, and visitors entering restricted operational areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly report observations and concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business, loading zones, and perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
