About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screening Monitor in Hagerstown, Maryland, serving a logistics and distribution location. The role helps maintain a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and reporting security-related concerns. Officers use a visible presence, clear communication, and customer service to deter incidents and support efficient operations.

The scheduled shifts are Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.46 per hour. Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and personal belongings entering or leaving the location in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect packages, bags, and other items as directed; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs and documentation related to screening activities and incidents.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents and critical situations.
• Help deter unauthorized access and loss-related activity.
• Conduct routine patrols and report security-related concerns.
