As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Chester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will help screen visitors and team members, monitor entry activity, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site rules, reporting unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Monitor entry points, credential checks, and screening equipment to help support orderly access and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as directed by site needs, noting security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues.
