Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
  • Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and/or personal property at designated access points using approved screening equipment and inspection procedures.
  • Monitor entry areas and verify credentials, boarding documents, and/or authorized access in accordance with post orders and location requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting potential hazards, unsecured areas, and/or other security-related concerns.
