Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and professional communication. You will support daily operations by conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors and staff, and delivering customer service with the agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity that define our culture.

Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document entry and exit activity for people, vehicles, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity through appropriate communication channels.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entrance areas, vehicle gates, trailer yards, and loading and receiving zones, while following site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including warehouses, parking areas, and shipping and receiving locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
