About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol in Jackson, Michigan, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. In this unarmed role, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, support access control, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly. You will use technology to document observations and respond to security-related needs. This is a part-time position scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, paying $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrol observations, incidents, access-related events, and other security matters.
