About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare, industrial, and other settings by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control, and providing customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. The role follows site-specific policies and procedures and may involve emergency response activities. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor guidance, wayfinding, and facility access procedures.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
