About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Monitor in Latham, New York. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $16.50 per hour and lists a daytime shift on Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs unarmed patrols at healthcare facilities and surrounding areas, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and documents and reports observations in accordance with site procedures and emergency protocols.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to facility protocols and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
