About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Rochester, New York. The officer will patrol facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas; monitor access points; help deter unauthorized activity; and provide professional customer service and communication. The role uses a computer or tablet to document observations and support access control activities, while requiring integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, people-first approach.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials according to site procedures, and direct visitors and deliveries as required.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Accurately document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through required reports and communication channels.
